Production Supervisor

Summary: The production supervisor monitors product flow and schedules to ensure delivery of product. Maintains employee safety, and ensures quality products are being made to specifications. Keeps track of hourly associates individual record of efficiencies, quality skills and attendance in accordance to the employee handbook.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the product flow lines and ensure material is being made that matches schedule needs
  • Plan and prioritize production in the area to meet daily/weekly commits on delivery
  • Ensures employees are maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Manages employees’ adherence to material routers and proper clocking techniques
  • Looks at all employees’ efficiencies to standard times and makes each employee aware of their performance on a regular basis
  • Stays consistent with enforcement of all employee treatment and rules in accordance to the DBG employee handbook
  • Track and manage each individual employee’s skills and abilities in regards to efficiency, quality, attendance and safety for yearly review of performance
  • Recommend and communicate solutions of any equipment needs or staffing needs
  • Recommend and communicate solutions of process improvements for the manufacturing ofthe products
  • Help implement new process improvements through action work-outs performed in the areaKPIs / Metrics

    • Ability to influence across organizational lines. In particular, the ability to work collaborativelywith operators, production assistant, and quality manager

      Education: HS diploma; Associate’s degree preferred
      Experience:
      • 5 years experience managing hourly workforce for a manufacturing company• Bi-lingual skills preferred
      • Microsoft office knowledge and proficiency
      • Experience in production planning and scheduling

Sewing Operator

Diamond Brand Gear is always looking for sewing machine operators with experience running several different types of industrial sewing machines with enthusiasm. We embrace lean manufacturing and flowing product, so every day is different and sewing various types of goods is the way of life. We are a small business that values our employees’ opinions, suggestions, and expertise in making our product and environment better in safety, quality, and delivery.
