I grew up just down the street from the Diamond Brand store on 25 back in the 80s. It was my favorite store. I loved going there for Boy Scout patches and pocket knives. I teach in Texas now and so have the summers off. For the last two years, I’ve been hiking the AT From Springer heading north. I’ve made it Hot Springs so far. I could have gone to REI for a new Gregory pack or something but I’ve chosen to hike the AT with an old blue external frame DB pack from the 80’s. I’ve patched it in a few places since I bought it but it’s still going strong!
